Cure The Fear

Fear has a large shadow, but he himself is small'

- Ruth Hendler

Yes! Do you know? In the afternoon time, our shadow becomes longer and larger than us? In fact, we are small but our shadowy image is big! This is because of the direction of Sunlight. It makes us look bigger whereas we are actually small.

Fear is like our shadow. What did I just say?? What is this sort of comparison. My logic is that as Sunlight makes the shadow look bigger, our thoughts makes the fear bigger; whereas, in reality, it is smallest of the small.

Fear is incarnated from our previous birth or is imbibed in our mind, indirectly, from our surroundings. Surrounding here means the way people around us, think. If we are surrounded by positive, charmastic people then we will be

Whether any fear- incarnated or influenced by surroundings- can be cured. There are two ways!

Either by

1)  Preparing: For e.g. fear of exams by studying

2) Practicing: In this case, we have no other option, but to directly do the task of which we are afraid and scared: for e.g driving a car, learning swimming

In case of the first type, we can eliminate the fear or the chances of any unfortunate event happening by taking some precautions ( prevention of COVID-19 by wearing masks and following social distancing rules ) or making preparations before hand. But what about second one?? Because most of us are reluctant to do such tasks. Because, it requires doing the work directly practically.  In other words, if you don’t start doing or learning it, we will never conquer it’s fear.

But what we think? It is impossible…not my cup of tea….I can’t do it…..what if I lose….I don’t have those capabilities …I have never done it!!?? And here we come at the right place saying that 'I have never done it.’ Change this to 'I am doing it for the first time.’

Whenever we do anything for the first time, we are nervous. But second time, see this, our nervousness and fear will reduce a bit. And as we go, third time, fourth time and on and on….we become perfect!!!!

That is what is said ' Passion, Practice and Patience; Practice makes the man perfect!’

Keep practicing until we meet again after two weeks!

  1. Good article. First time it is Stress. From second time it is reduced stress, called eustress. So your body prepares to deal with the stress levels. Gradually it becomes routine!
