Feeling down during lockdown??
Oh my God! 2 months of this lockdown have already passed! You might be getting bored at home! Wondering what else to do! Everyday doing regular activities like cooking, reading, watching TV, surfing the net. But, is there anything beyond this?
Boredom?
Then, I gave a deep thought. What is boredom? When you don’t have anything in your surroundings to entice you. You are fed up of doing the same things every time. So how to get rid of this??
Don’t think of getting bored!
One thing is for sure. That is, it will be only a few moments that you will feel bored. Otherwise, in doing the daily chores, which you used to do before also, you might not feel bored. My opinion is ,staying at home, keep yourself engaged in something, even if you do that everyday. Don’t keep on thinking that, I am getting bored. By doing this, you will feel more bored.
Energize and engage!
You have to energize yourself. This will happen when you do yoga, pranayama and meditation. Do something that you like. Engage in more conversation with your family members. In this turbulent times, it is important to keep patience and resilience.
No depression, keep conversation.
It has been 60 days since we are living with our family the entire day. It means , 60 days till now, being confined inside the 4 walls. This may lead to mental health problems. Also, there might arise conflicts between our family members. So, it is important to keep the relations cool and maintain your mental health. To do this, as said earlier, engage in conversation with them. Talk about the good past memories. Ask them every morning, what new we can learn today, being at home only. In this way, engage in only positive conversation with them as far as possible.
Morning after darkness!
There is a phrase in Marathi with the meaning that after the darkness of night departs, brightness of the morning comes in. In this way , remember that, this too shall pass!!
With this, ending my chapter. Will meet you in the next two weeks!
Stay home, stay safe!

ReplyDeleteI have found lockdown not to be so restrictive and to be honest if you can get out for some fresh air and sunshine and go and buy some groceries and prepare some nice food there are many things that you can do at home like reading listening to music looking at what can be bought and sold on eBay and also building business plans for things that you have always put on the backburner but so much want to do when we get back to some normality and with brexit it means we are creating work jobs entrepreneurship and that's what this great country needs
